Time for a Giveaway!!

So you may have remembered a while back I was lucky enough to be the stylist for Pardon My French A/W11 lookbook... I had the opportunity to pick up some amazing pieces of Jewellery, some simple costume pieces from Diva... But the pieces everybody were talking about were Kasias amazing glass pieces... Kasia is the designer behind Kashen Jewellery where she uses a variety of materials... from Leather to Glass! I was so stoked to use both collections for the lookbook, And Kasia was so happy to lend me her ENTIRE collection for the shoot... Talk about unbelievable I even got to take a couple of my very own BTS snaps!

Not to mention I was lucky enough to wear a mixture of Kasia's Pieces to a perth Fashion Show as well in an outfit post... Heres a referesher and I'm actually wearing one of the items I'll be giving away!

I thought I'd also get to know Kasia a little better and I thought maybe you should too! I have only met her a couple of time but each time it has been a pleasure seeing her, Not to mention Perth Designers rock my socks... Well when I wear socks! Here's what Kasia had to share!

I graduated from Curtin University of Technology majoring in Jewellery Design in 2006. After graduating I have been working as a designer in 3 different major jewellery stores in Perth, currently I am working as a Head Designer at Ecali Fine Jewellery in Subiaco. My love for diamonds and pearls will never fade however it is my fashion jewellery line where I can explore and let loose.

When designing, my influences come from a lot of different things, but it is always the materials I choose first.

Working on my first collection, glass was one of the main materials I have used. I love working with it because it is so unpredictable (which sometimes works against me!) so each piece looks completely different to the other. Each glass piece is handmade and shaped by me and after it has been fired in the kiln, I clean and file individual pieces to make sure there is no sharp and pointy ends.

My new collection 'Empress of the Sun' is a celebration of summer. I have always wanted to work with leather and after choosing different coloured leathers I was instantly inspired. I love that 'Empress of the Sun' is a play of colours and textures and each piece can be worn during the day or night, with a simple outfit or something that needs a little bit of updating!
