So Harry Potter is coming to an end... to me Harry potter has been an important aspect of my life... to a certain extent anyway. The Philosophers Stone was released June 30 1997, I can’t believe I wasn’t even 6 then... I would have been about 7 or 8 when I first picked up this story... I quickly rushed through the paragraph each afternoon so I could appease my mother with my daily reading task... It took me another year to read the book properly and to understand the most of it. Since Harry I am a fully pledged bookworm...
I love reading, in a way you’re escaping your own reality and stepping into someone else’s... Even if it is a make believe fairytale. We watch Harry, Ron and Hermione grow up in the wizarding world and I too have watched myself grow up and I can reflect to oh so many parts of the films and the novels of course are Fantasy based, but they touch home with certain genres such as bullying, the depth of love and free speech. Harry loses his parents and his friends throughout the novels I have lost a parent and in a way I related to that sense of loss... I understand its fictional and but JK still touches on some important issues, also a main character Voldermort spends his life searching for immortality I guess some too could relate to that because so many of us I guess are afraid to die.
If you haven’t read Harry Potter or you haven’t heard about it you are ridiculously stupid... I mean the books have been available for over a decade and the first instalment of the final movie will be released July 15th... And the next instalment will be released November 2011... But anyway... as I was saying not only have we watched the actors grow into the characters we have also seen their appearance change in oh so many ways... Especially with Hermione Granger being known as the nerdy one, her bushy hair & brows, slouched posture and the know it all attitude she comes off as a bit of a snob... which definitely haven’t done her any favours in the fashion dept... But as she grows up we’ve watched Ronald Weasley fall for her same with the big Quidditch star, Viktor Krum taking her to the Yule Ball where she gives herself a bit of a makeover...
Since then Emma Watson has been involved in her own fashion projects in September 2009 Emma announced that she would be working with People Tree, a Fair Trade fashion brand. Watson worked as a 'creative advisor' for People Tree to create a spring line of clothing, which was released in February 2010... She is also the face behind Burberry... They’ve released a new 2010 Spring Summer Campaign! Keeping it in the family Emma and her brother are featured in this shoot.... Ontop of that Emma has a new Beau who also featured in the Spring Summer shoot, Musician George Craig from One Night Only, pulls off a trench just as well as Emma and her brother! Looks like they both like helping each other out with George featuring in the Burberry Campaign while Emma features in One Night Only’s latest film clip! So the Harry Potter Kids are all grown up... and she’s got many things lined up as they say when one door shuts another opens!
Not too sure how I feel about this song or the film clip! I must admit the Lady and the tramp concept is pretty cute! But hey we all want a rock and roll boyfriend, squillions of dollars in the bank, and a modelling contract... And I would really love a Burberry Trench this winter to be honest... Ohh how I wish I could win lotto.... I need to buy a ticket first though ;)
P.s. I know this campaign is a little older but hey her and Rocker Beau George weren’t together at the time of this shoot... Harry Potter comes out in a couple of weeks and Emma features in there new filmclip! I thought it fitted ;)
So as I was saying the Australian Models are popping up everywhere, a favourite around the world would definitely have to be the gorgeous Miranda Kerr... It’s so unbelievably awesome at how far she has come from where she was first recognized in a Dolly/Impulse Model competition when she was a week shy from 14 even then, her age alone caused controversy, but Miranda was definitely destined for big things! From Surfwear to Lingerie Kerr has made it into the big time, she became the first Australian model to be offered a contract with Victoria's Secret in 2007. Her accomplishments seem to go on forever!
Kerr modeled surf brands in her early career such as Billabong, Tigerlily, Roxy, Billabong Girls, One Teaspoon & Portmans. This increased her profile in the Australian and Asian markets, after which Kerr relocated to New York, since relocating she has walked for even bigger names such as Alex Perry, Ayyıldız, Baby Phat, Lisa Ho, Voodoo Dolls, Levi's, Bettina Liano, Nicola Finetti, L.A.M.B., Heatherette, Betsey Johnson, Trelise Cooper, Jets, John Richmond, Blumarine Swimwear, Neiman Marcus, Seafolly Swimwear, Anna Molinari, Rock and Republic, and Roberto Cavalli.
Miranda's also been the face for many editorials, Elle, V Magazine, FHM, Dolly Magazine, Harper's Bazaar Australia, Glmour Magazine, Madison Magazine, Rolling Stones and of course the biggest... VOGUE. Miranda has also has taken over from Megan Gale as the major Retail chain as fashion ambassador for David Jones
Not to mention Miranda is also the Face of Kora, has established herself as one of the top 10 models in the world and someone who cares passionately about health and well-being. She balances her hectic lifestyle with yoga, meditation and regular exercise. Later this year Miranda has a book coming out "Treasure Yourself". It focuses on encouraging young women to embrace themselves and their individuality. in the meantime check out her amazing products with key ingredients such as Rose Quartz Crystal Energised Water, Rose Hip Oil, Vitamin E & Noni
In more recent news... Sex has been selling like hotcakes? and Miranda also has jumped on the Skin badnwagon showing us all a little more infront of the lens... as a lingerie model theres not much else she has to loose but it seems alot of the Media here in Australia are not liking her 'new' look in modelling since the Maquarie Bank Scandal which involved an Australian Banker almost being sacked from checking out feb GQ Nude Editorial!
Then there was the Numero Shoot again Australian media slammed Miranda for getting her kit off, as she isn't representing herself well as a role model for young girls... Bleghhh I think that's pathetic the woman is clearly the next Elle Macpherson and I'm not going out on a limb here, her trademark is her classic girl next door look and her gorgeous dimples, everybody can love her.
But not everybody can have her! It has been recently announced that Miranda is now engaged to Pirates of the Carribean Bachelor Orlando Bloom... No dates have been set, but it has been said that the wedding will be held in LA not in Australia... It's estimated her rock is worth upto HALF A MILLION... If an engagement ring is meant to cost the groom three month's salary... Orlando has one hell of a bank account, but who wouldn't want to snap her up as your bride! Heres Miranda showing off her small iceberg on her finger for Victorias Secrets mid year campaign... Pretty cute bride undies..
So it seems she has alot on her plate, and she's far from hanging up her boots just yet... But the model has said she would like kids 'real soon'

I live in the most isolated capital city in the world, and I also happen to live on the world’s smallest continent, And Perth is also the largest state in Australia, pretty cool huh? But anyway I graduated from high school just over two years ago I am not here to give you history lesson.
Everybody loves Auzzies... I don’t know what it is about us but we just get along with everyone... I don’t know if it’s because of our laid back nature, our intriguing accents or the fact that we could quite possibly have a Kangaroo or a Koala as a pet. But there is definitely something about us...
We also happen to have some of the most gorgeous models in the world and they are definitely popping up all over the place, With Miranda Kerr, Bambi Northwood Blyth and Abbey Lee Kershaw are definitely stepping up in the world of fashion and modelling and they are being noticed!!!
Stephanie Northwood-Blyth, better known as Bambi, the new "it" model, since she has popped up on recent runways and in magazines modelling for Pricilla’s Model Management in Sydney, Bambi may only be 5'7'', but she stands out with blue-green eyes, a sweet smile, and, most importantly, her bold brows have got everyone looking at her! From featuring in editorials such as Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Russh, Frankie, Elle, Cleo, Cosmopolitan, Oyster and then for famous names such as; Aje, Ellery, Cassette Society, Sportsgirl, Mania Mania, Michael Kors, Stylestalker and stacks more!!! In the next couple of days I’m going to share A little bit of Bambi, a little bit of Miranda and Abbey! So keep your eyes peeled! Here’s Bambi for Mania Mania!
