New year wrap up via iPad

So I'm using my little brothers iPad as I type this a new year has come and gone and a lot if bloggers seem to be wrapping up there year in a post... But because I am using this freaky contraption of a thing I am finding it somewhat a little more difficult... However I'm here to give it a shot!

Today I spent the day in Fremantle... I guess you could say I'm housesitting my dads place but I'm also getting away the past couple of weeks have been pretty tough and there nothing better than relaxing on this amazing balcony with vodka, my partner and a delectable platter of nibblies!

1. I've been living with my Beau for over a year now and finally understood comfortable silences and a lot more.. Hes definitely my better half!

2. I finally made peace with a few family members of mine, it's been a long time coming but it was finally glad to make my dad a happy man (well with me anyway)

3. I jumped jobs from corporate to retail... Massive pay cut but definitely one of the best things I've ever done... Tarocash expect big things from me!

4. I've realized supporting your partner in the most difficult times can make your relationship a lot stronger than I've ever expected!

5. it's also come to my attention writing blog posts on NYE after 5 vodkas is never wise.

6. after 3 years of my New years resolutions aiming to drop the weight... I've finally lost 15kgs it's funny when you stop thinking about it, the weight just drops off I'm finally happy with myself! It's not about what's on the outside but it certainly makes a difference to your confidence!

7. Cutting all my hair off and going blonde was one of the best things I've ever done, it's good to be unique, to stand out! In fact, standing out in the crowd is one of the best things you can do.. Whether it be outlandish hair, pants or personalities people remember those who are different!

8.  New friends are everywhere and where you least expect it, I've made friends for life thanks to this little hobby of mine (blogging) and you girls know who you are... There's some I've never even met and there halfway across the world or the continent but I know them well (well it feels that way at least)
(L you are one hell of a lady and I'm so glad we decided to catch up that time at the greenery!)

9. I was in a rough patch earlier on this year and I didn't know what to do with myself, I found myself blogging and having my own Internet escape... I also lost my passion for writing and sharing my thoughts but I think I'm finding that passion once more!

10. I'll wrap it up with number ten... Another decade has past bring on the new year with more resolutions unkept, more romance, more fashion festivals, heck more music festivals, more blog posts and more friendships and of course the hard times are sure to follow but bring it on... 2011 I'm ready!!

And to be honest It's rather silly to be blogging on new years eve... But I cant get enough of this Ipad.. It's amazeballs.. I want one of my own!!

Bloggers, Brothers and Tights from out of this world!

I was really happy once hump day came around because it’s my day off and last Wednesday was a good one! I started off with a little bit of Christmas shopping in the city... Followed by lunch with my brother and his adorable girlfriend, we ate the biggest burgers imaginable, Chicken, Aioli, relish and the best salad ever! Once I finished up there I still had an hour to kill so I checked out what was available in the city and made a mental wish list for the Boxing Day sales!
By 1.30 I had to make it to King Street and in my rush mode I managed to bump into Bonnie from Girl Friday I literally whisked her away with me so we could catch up and so she could join me on this hell of a coffee date with two other amazing Perth Bloggers...

The usual L from Peanut Moonbeam Knickers and this time a new face Monique from Mon Is Me! It was a ridiculously muggy day, before I left it was cold so I finally had a chance to wear my Galaxy tights... Even though by 1pm I was pretty much melting, So we gave coffee a miss and decided on coke and well more food... I was ready to explode! It was great to see these girls all together at once, I’ll definitely be doing this more often.

Once we finished up I headed back to L’s place for some playtime with Buster and his newfound toothbrush toy... (yup this adorable little thing was running around with a toothbrush in his mouth) we decided once again it was time to get the camera out and take a couple of outfit snaps before we literally melted from this strange weather!

I wore my Trusty black T-shirt... Its actually huge on my but it is something I can throw over anything.. Especially tights, My tights are by the awesome James from Black Milk... They are exceptionally comfy and the best quality tights I have ever purchased! Assorted jewlery from random chain stores... (I have an obsession with Keys) and shoes from Rubi!

P.S did I mention that Black Milk now have Black Galaxy & Red Galaxy Prints available for both Bodysuits and Tights... I want them both to add to my spacey collection!

I can't remember the exact details of L's number, But the pants were her mums, the gorgeous snake ring giften from an old friend and of course she was wearing these amazing Jeffrey Campbell snicks and these delectable indian style necklace... If you want to know more why don't you head on over to her blog and ask her yourself?

Anastasia Bondarenko by Paul de Luna

Such amazing photography... The weather looks beautiful, jut warm enough to be running around in a field... Not like this 38 degree weather we are having here at the moment... Which is about 100 Degrees Fahrenheit for those on the otherside of the world!

I love anything Sheer.

Perfect Picnic!

So lately I’ve been catching up with a Perth Blogger rather regularly... You see I only get Wednesdays off from work, I love to catch up with as many people as I can but I find most people have to work Wednesdays besides this is a great way to talk about fashion, blogs, food and just anything that makes us happy it also means I get a chance to have more and more outfit posts... L from Peanut Moonbeam Knickers is very frequent with her outfit posts but me not so much! So last Wednesday I headed into town in one of my new favourite dresses and met up with L for a picnic in the Supreme Court Gardens...

It was an amazingly warm day.. Really warm but I still chucked on my wedges and L with her Knee high socks... Perth isn’t like Melbourne unless your corporate wearing heels in the day is somewhat awkward I was getting looks left right and centre but hey I had fun frolicking in the park with one of my good friends! I am definitely enjoying my Wednesdays off especially when I get the chance to see great friends!

I kinda feel somewhat sorry for the people of Perth.. While we were munching down on delicious food, jumping in the bushes and running up some ort of staircase.. I can't help but wonder what the council workers as well as the people who worked at the courthouse were thinking of our antics...

I wore my trusty sportsgirl wedges, along with my awesome little find from a boutique in Perth, I wore a selection of bracelets from Portmans, Diva, Collette and more.. To top it all off my Tokito belt... I need to invest in more belts!

L from Peanut Moonbeam Knickers wore her gorgeous Betts Wedges that actually featured in the 15 Minute fashion show at Perth fashion Festival, she also was wearing the most adorable drapey top a bargain at only $14 when it was originally $140! I love L's hair it's such a rich beautiful colour and I love how the flowers made her hair colour pop! See her post here!

Abbey Lee & Mania Mania!

Abbey has always been sporting a piece or two from Mania Mania... And Mania Mania always seems to score the best of the best it's been a big year for them and it's only natural for them to snap up the gorgeous Abbey Lee for there 2011 Spring Campaign.. Here's just a sneak preview of the lookbook, I wish there was more... I can hardly afford something such as this... (I love being broke) but I really really want something from Mania Mania what they are doing is absolutely amazing... On another note I really want my nose pierced again!

The latest collection, Rêve, was inspired by Vali Myers, a fellow Aussie, gypsy traveler and muse to Andy Warhol and Marianne Faithfull. “We’re interested in the idea of redefining archetypes, symbols and creating pieces of jewelry that become a part of our very own signature style,” Kamsler says. Precious stones pop with a newly explored bold and graphic element, as in the metal vagabond cuff that has the whittled texture of wood. A bronze “immortal” ring features an amazonite stone, and pendant necklaces are bejeweled with quartz crystals. Purvis adds, “Our jewelry is known for being unique and people have said they feel powerful wearing it.”
