So Wednesday was the one year bloggerversary for Blonde Suburbia... Which used to be Neon Blonde things changed and so did the name of my blog... This year I’ve been working harder than ever in retail, which has slowed my posting down dramatically... However I haven’t stopped blogging for the past month I have had literally no internet.. Perfect timing really but for me April has been a write off... I have a stack planned for May and I promise I’ll be back to posting much more regularly this May and for the rest of the year... In the meantime I’m using the Easter weekend and the rest of April to separate myself from technology and spend my time amongst other activities...
However not even sharing a post in April is wrong so on Wednesday I headed down to the Art Gallery with the incredible L... it’s been a while since we caught up but it was good to have a chat and it’s been so long since I’ve been to the Art gallery and what a treat it was... The last time I was there I checked out the “Year 12 Perspective” from 2009 the artwork was incredible, I was absolutely tickled pink to discover that this year’s “Year 12 Perspectives” would also be on show in the gallery, I really appreciate how students interpret their art and what inspires them.
We headed into another exhibition that blew away L’s mind and mine... Artwork using nothing but fairy lights, spirit metres, Photography from behind the scenes of the Northbridge brothel and prostitution scene... If you’re from Perth or if you are in Perth and you haven’t been to the gallery in a while I highly recommend you check it out... The gift shop was just a little bit amazing, there were oodles of coffee table books where I could easily spend hundreds on these beautiful book among other amazing interior pieces!
After we had finished at the gallery we took a couple of happy snaps.. I love my new fuzzy jumper and it was followed with a naughty afternoon treat of McDonalds my god it’s been so long since I’ve had a cheeseburger! I’ll be back in May!
