E L L E R Y . Here for a good time.

Psst... tomorrow something special is happening in Perth, an Ellery pop up shop will be opening at 140 William for a few shorts days. So it's actually a pop up sale with one off samples, past season garments and the rare gems you've always wanted in your wardrobe! Here for three days only! Like the poster says, Here for a good time, not a long time!

Late March last year Kym bought the Ellery show to 140 William and it was incredible I was lucky enough to have front row seats and sat next to a charming photographer that gave me plenty of tips on how to use my camera (it was my first time with it) If you haven't seen these posts before, check them out and be prepared to drool and have your wallets at the ready for tomorrows sale...

I have to work but I'm definitely thinking I'm going to have to head down there myself as soon as I get the chance!

Laser Skulls...

My only chance to share a post on the 29th of February for four years so I couldn't leave it blank! I picked up the Dia De Los Muertos Bag today... The label you ask? Dangerfield! I couldn't believe it when I set my eyes upon this little beauty.

From its skull pattened lining, to the stud on the bottom its a perfect addition to my skull collection, Only thing is I just wish it had a zip or two, however there is enough fabric to add a zip to the lining to make it a little bit more secure.

Future Music Festival

So the Future Music Festival is just around the bend, this Sunday for those in Perth and thanks to twitter and the amazing team at Sportsgirl I was lucky enough to win a double pass to the festival I have been waiting for all summer, strangely enough its arrival is the first few days of autumn… Yet again that means another festival outfit you’ve got to pull out and hopefully you don’t catch anybody in the same outfit!

You see I had this problem at Parklife… I spotted at least a dozen girls in the same dress but different colours… I actually own the dress in 3 different colours and I have vowed to never wear it to a festival again, I’ve also vowed to not wear the standard festival uniform. That being the denim cut offs with a cropped tee of some sort. Oh and I won’t be caught dead in Fluro, neon is different but even then I’m crossing into raver land. My last festival I went to it was all pastel hues, cut outs and pink tips in my hair I thought it fitted in with the Summadayze atmosphere entirely.

Future music for me will be a bit of a dubstep affair with my man being a dubstep nut I know there will be a lot of pushing and shoving. So I'm going for black oversized mens tank as a dress and my old biker boots that are about to die to avoid my feet getting trashed and avoid dirt ruining anything else.

See that Tee? I have it in Black oversized tank form... So I know it will be perfect, however the neck is slightly higher but thats alright with me!

Break away from traditional denim, You dont have to go 100% suede or leather... Evil Twin, Toi Et Moi & Minkpink do awesome alternatives, And by the looks of things the Galaxy Print is here to stay! I would probably go for shorts like these if I was to wear shorts... To be honest though I love the comfort of wearing a dress... Unless its windy!

I could go on forever with outfit combos but to avoid my eyes going square a few trends you are bound to spot at the festivals include;
• Print on print
• Floral Overload (In a good way)
• Printed pants
• Kimonos & cape tops
• Sheer tees, singlets & dresses
• The “boho” look
• Rocker Chick

And then there's the dreaded Festival uniform of denim underwear & a cropped singlet of some sort!

Best labels to start with would be Evil Twin, Mink Pink, Neon Hart & One Teaspoon... Friend of mine do a few gorgeous things that are versatile enough for a festival! Dont forget your Asos or Zara too!

So what are you wearing to FMF? Are you going or are you saving your pennies for Soundwave or Creamfields?

So you saw the jacket from Charlie May's AW12 collection.. Check out her SS12 collection, now I know summer may be coming to a close in Australia but in Perth we are still going to feel the heat up until the end of May at least... Even then a lot of these pieces are versatile enough for a Perth Winter...

Absolutely loving the Second last look with the vest & look number 1 and 2... Just perfection!

Blushing

So take note... This is probably the only time you'll see me in this pastel hue, for a few reasons... One being that I am an absolute grub and can't keep myself clean, two I have to wear black to work and I work over 40 hours a week it only seems natural to buy black clothes regularly and reason number three I am in my own element when wearing black...

This is what I wore to the wedding yesterday, keep in mind I didn't want to soften my look too much I added a few spikes... Well a lot of spikes! Meet the beautiful Sass & Bide shoulder armour I picked up at a warehouse sale at a ridiculous price... You wouldn't even dream how little I paid for this baby! I even ditched the dark bronzer & dark eyes for a soft peach blush and neutral browns & beige on the eyes with a hint of shimmer.

What do you think? Tony took these photos just metres away from where the reception I didn't even know this part of Burswood existed, it's beautiful.

Im wearing; Sass & Bide Shoulder Armor, Ladakah Pink Dress (Yup they are seperate but I have matched them perfectly I think) Betts shoes & Betts clutch, Lovisa ear cuff and an assortment of rings from the markets, diva & Lovisa.

I've changed my hair up a teeny tiny bit... What do you think of this neew blonde? Not so bleachy?

Wedding Delights

One of Tony's & our mutual friends tied the knot, after 3 years of loved up nonsense and an adorable baby boy in their life it only seemed natural! The wedding was very traditional at the beautiful old St Georges Cathedral in Perth, We didn’t take too many pictures because we spent the night catching up with old friends and making new ones in the process... However the couple are a pair of punk metal lovers and as they walked into the reception to some hardcore punk music, it was a good laugh!

This is the first of many weddings I’m sure as our friends and their partners decide to take their love one step further. I almost felt sorry for Tony... I was in such a loved up state and when I almost had the bouquet in my clutches I could see the manic look in his eyes! Ahh weddings, I love what it does to people!

I went all out for my wedding outfit, No black whatsoever... Check out that outfit post soon!

Makeup Shake Up

A while ago I won a giveaway on the Hip & Haute blog... It changed my life, I'm not even joking... I'm all about being organized especially when it comes to makeup. Although I may be a "fashion" blogger I love my makeup just as much and when Sarah introduced this giveaway I had all my fingers crossed that I would win and I did!

Introducing the Makeup Box & The Brush holder!

And now introducing the jumble of makeup that was stashed in 3 different bathroom drawers!

And with a little bit of make up tetris I give you makeup organization at its best!!

I cheated a little bit, I actually bought new brushes today because my other ones were so mis matched and DYING! I also received a beauty pod (The pink thing above)

It's such a dream to use you dunk this in to water and it swells up, then you apply your base so if you aren't one to use primer this makes your makeup glide on with ease.

For me I keep my lipsticks & Gloses in the top drawer. Eye shadows, mascara & liners in the second drawer. Bronzers & blushes in the third and finall my bases, illuminators & pressed powders in the last drawer!

The set I have is the Small Glamour Makeup box set! Which you can find here

In the meantime check out the Makeup Box Shop and the range of products they have on offer! For the record the Makeup Box Shop is an Australian owned company and they are based in Queensland, I've got to say this is one of the best ideas for makeup storage yet!

Thanks Sarah! Best Giveaway I've won in a LONG time! I may not have a collection like you just yet but I'm well on my way! Check out Sarah's post and how she uses her makeup box!

Smile Like You Mean It!

Sorry that there has been a slight absence of posting lately, life has gotten away from me been ridiculously busy with work, family and friends although I have loved every minute of it I just wish I had a camera to document it! Last Thursday night I headed out to meet a couple of gorgeous Perth fashion bloggers so we could head to the Western Australian Fashion Awards, a night dedicated to recognizing home grown talent and talk about amazing talent!

It was a night of luxurious cocktails, divine dresses, ridiculously amazing ensembles and a chance for everyone in the industry to really appreciate how creative the people of Perth really are... The crowd was ridiculous and somehow we all managed to fit into Perth GPO which was beautifully decorated with regal chairs, stools, birdcages and more!

Bonnie was nominated for an award: Betts Blogger of the year I couldn’t be more proud of her although she didn’t take the crown (Congratulations to Emma from Dropstitch who did) It was great to catch up with her after such a busy couple of weeks and mingle with other “fashion folk” here are a couple of happy snaps, Thanks to Laura, Bonnie & her beau Trent for the collection of shots not many were taken as we spent most of the time having a laugh!

Photo taken by the charming Grace Robinson!
Laura is wearing: Complex Geometries Mumur Dress & Christian Louboutin Booties.
I'm wearing; Sass & Bide "The forgiven one" dress, Sportsgirl clutch & Betts shoes!
Safe to say I was so out of my comfort zone in this dress, I'm not one to wear such tight and something so low cut... So when I tepped out in this I felt really uncomfortable I'd much prefer to be in something like L was wearing but it was good to change it up for an event like this!

Amazing cocktails!

The decor of this room was incredible, how amazing is this chair as soon as I saw it I went straight for it! There was even a fluffy white rug at our feet... that was murdered with a cocktail moments later.
