Restyle Day 30 - End of an era...

An end of an Era, that's how it feels for me! This past month has been absolutely chaotic when it comes to blogging and my life outside the blog... But more on that later. Over the past month I have posted more outfits than I have during the entire lifespan of Blonde Suburbia! I can't believe its over... In the meantime I can't wait for the Restyle Runway show it is going to be awesome, if you can get down there you can see us strut our stuff, or watch me stumble either way it will be a great show and all of this was for such a great cause and it couldn't have been done without Lotterywest & Perth Fashion Festival!

Although my approach to Restyle is a little different, yes a lot of my items were my own throughout the month. But I have managed to pick up some incredible staples that I wouldn't of even dreamed of picking up in an Op Shop. My leather numbers are easily my favourite and my black sparkly cooper St dres for a mere $12? This challenge has definitely opened up my eyes and left my bank account looking a little healthier. Up until this challenge I rarely spent anytime in ANY opshops but even after these 30 days I know I'll be back in an Op Shop soon again!

Restyle Day 29 - Barbie Pink

This is me in extreme colour mode, my eye's were almost quinting when I put this dress on today, spring is JUST around the corner and I say BRING it on... This colour definitely packs a punch (cheesy line totally intended) paired with this white blazer this is a super crisp combo for Spring!!

I think this dress would fit right at home with Barbie personally.

Restyle Day 28 - Pinky

Not quite brave enough to wear this dress on it's own yet, but the 30 Days of Restyle is coming to an end and I had to share this dress (worn as a top in this post) before it was too late, pairing it with my FAVOURITE leather shorts which were also opshopped and this sweet pink blazer also op-shopped, tickled pink with my 100% Restyled outfit today!

Lia

My favourite bag recently broke, it was $40 and last me almost a whole year considering the amount of junk I managed to cram into that baby, my laser cut skull delight served me well! It broke while I was on my way to work so I reluctantly picked up another cheapie hoping this one will do until I find my dream bag... Really wanted a Marion with rose gold detailing but I'm too slow, I love the Lia now to wait around to see if they do an edition with rose gold hardware! (and no soft pink lamb leather option either)

Restyle Day 27 - From The Cow

I'm sorry if you're vegetarian, vegan or you choose not to wear animal products, I'm not a fan of fur but I do love lother and suede, today I've mixed up a piece of my own with these trusty leather pants from the Red Cross ($25.50) which you've all seen before, with only a few days left of Restyle I only have a few numbers left to share. I love mixing textures and this berry suede tank by Cameo is a great companion!

I've lost my mascara, I'm rather annoyed because this is the third one I've managed to loose in 6 weeks, so don't mind the "tired" eyes blame the bloody blonde lashes!

How was your Monday?

Restyle Day 26 - Golden Roses

Reflecting on my 'Restyle' purchases I have come out on top with a lot of leather & gold numbers... My wardrobe is very Black & Gold esque at the moment and I kinda like it! This is the first top I Op-Shopped for the challenge it's far too big but I will mak it work with a a few simple stitches. At times like these I wish I lived a stone throw away from the Le Fanciulle girls just so I could pick up some DIY tips!!

Restyle Day 25 - Creature Comforts

To be honest I wasn't sure if I would ever post this outfit for 30 days of Restyle, but my options were running low and I don't think I'll make it to another Druug Arm before the end of the month... I picked up these black denim/cotton shorts for $12 and this knit was $4 from the Good Sammys, ultimate sloth outfit the shorts realistically belong at the beach but they are so comfy I can justify wearing them around the house too!

Wearing the Cooper Street dress that I picked up from the Good Sammy's as a top and these leather pants are quite easily my favourite op shop find, they were $25.50 from the Red Cross and right now they are fitting me better then ever... Win!

Restyle Day 22 - Colourless

Disco Diva material... I feel like all I need to do is throw on some roller skates and head to a roller disco, I actually always feel like this whenever I wear these shorts, But today I've Restyled the black and gold speckled knit that you have already seen here and the Belt was a sweet little add on I picked up from $1, it really finishes off the outfit.

Change of scenery a little bit of black and white photography to play down how glittery this combo really is!

Be Bold - The PFF2012 Launch

Yesterday Perth Fashion Festival launched this years programme and it was a bold burst of colour, the designs featured were all from different WA designers collections naturally we all wouldn't dress like this but it definitely left an impact, and you could definitely transform the pieces into your own wardrobe with no problem! Absolutely loved the designs by The Butcher and the Crow, Little Gracie, Garth and those were the designs I could match a designer too! There were plenty of pieces that blew my mind!

There was a huge crowd featuring a huge list of some of the incredible designers that will be involved in this years festival, Such as Shane from ZSADAR, Ebony Harding of Little Gracie, Garth Cook, Daniel Romanin of One Fell Swoop and plenty more a bevvy of bloggers was introduced this year as we will be taking part in the festival also! Now that Restyle is slowly coming to an end, I've realized PFF is just around the corner and so is the Restyle Runway Show.

The highlights that are definitely worth mentioning include Fashionably Loud a new concept blending fashion and Music, I cannot wait for this the show will be styled by Zara Bryson featuring some of the MOST incredible designers including Ellery, Story By Tang, Belle Bijoux and plenty more!
An evening with Flannel also is something new on the table the presentation will showcase their Spring Summer collection, Neronis in the historic Hackett Hall guests will also enjoy a three course dinner accompanied by champagne and delicious cocktails in an 1920’s themed showcase, definitely something not to be missed!
The VIP closing night however is something new altogether a stunning initiative, Perth Fashion Festival will be working with a charity that supports disadvantaged women, held in the incredible Government House Ballroom,Giving Back is The New Black will be a unique and intimate evening showcasing an exceptional line up of WA designers and their take on the classic black dress... Right up my alley!

Unfortunately I'm rather short and the masses of media made it hard for me to get any real amazing shots and I didn't bring the right lens... Time to start saving for something that can get a little closer to all the action!

Fauna Floral Suit by Bardot, Neon Peplum by Dotti, Tony Bianco Kallista's

I wore a floral suit, I felt EXTREMELY colourful as I walked through the CBD, I got plenty of appreciative glares, Or maybe they were confused either way I thouroughly enjoyed breaking out of my mould in something that is way out of my comfort zone, I almost wore a black tank out, so relieved I didnt!

I'll be sure to share other Festival highlights over the next few days, I'll share the shows that you HAVE to see and if I have enough time I'll share the whole programme but be sure to check out Perth Fashion Festival's Facebook & keep an eye on their new webpage!

Restyle Day 21 - Leather Secretary

Hoping I can pop down to my local opshops before the month is out I have just over $25 left of my budget and my 'Restyle' wardrobe is looking a little sad, well not sad but at the moment I'm finding I'm restyling my opshop staples with my own pieces!

Not quite sure how corporates feel about leather in the workplace... But I seriously think this skirt would blend in fine with the right accessories, add a blazer, some stockings and you're good to go!

Skirt - Save The Children $20

Restyle Day 20 - Kook

My mind is elsewhere as I type... I'm running out of titles that relate to my outfits! And I'm also running out of things to mix up for Restyle! Slightly relieved that there is only 10 days left of Restyle! This is a sweet little bandage dress by Kookai that I picked up from the Retro Vinnies in Fremantle for 25 the fabric that Kookai dresses are made of is pretty nifty, this style in particular is thicker then other dresses I own, great quality for $25

Although they aren't my fave op-shopped item on the challenge I'm pretty smug about the fit and the price even if I only wear them fo a few months!
